Women's Program Center / Zarqa camp
The Local Committee Women's Program Center - Zarqa Camp is a community institution working in the field of achieving comprehensive sustainable development and promoting the integration of human rights. It was established in the year 1998 in Zarqa camp and enjoys an independent legal status according to its license under the umbrella of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees .
The committee works on four basic programs, which are as follows:
- The Women’s Program is concerned with providing awareness-raising services in a range of areas, including legal, health and psychological issues, in addition to empowering women in skills including beauty and economic empowerment.
- Early childhood program that includes a kindergarten program
- Youth Program "Basic Life Skills" and community initiatives
- Youth and Participation Program
The methodology used in the work
1. Networking and coordinating with all the various associations and community services
2. Participatory and coordination with the Community Rehabilitation Program for Disabilities
3. Respect for human rights in general and women in particular
4. Protect children from all kinds of abuse
